Title: Compensation Consultant

The Compensation Consultant will manage client projects, draft client presentations, assist in providing consulting advice, and formally and/or informally manage a team of Analysts and Associates, providing feedback, technical review, and development
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare project charts and templates using project management tools, estimate hours for the project team, and prepare timelines for project milestones 
  • Serve as an independent project manager for more straightforward projects or work streams
  • Ensure client projects adhere to budget, and immediately address out-of-scope issues or budget overruns and manage the client’s expectations
  • Prioritize project activities to manage the workload and meet project deadlines
  • Delegate and lead project tasks in line with individual capability, development needs, and available analyst and associate resources
  • Identify new business opportunities with clients and manage proposal process
  • Lead both internal and client project status meetings
  • Serve as a primary client contact and build relationships with clients
Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years' external clients consulting experience
  • 7+ years Experience in broad-based rewards/compensation
  • Knowledge of executive compensation
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, e.g., job benchmarking, salary structure design, job architecture
  • Deep analysis and reporting experience -- skilled in data manipulation and analysis using spreadsheet software, as well as developing written reports which summarize analysis and provide interpretation in the context of the challenge faced by the client
  • Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously on a variable schedule based on project demand and link compensation challenges to broader business or industry context.
